Time to celebrate Police Bravery

The annual Police Bravery awards take place in London today (14 July). Our very own PC Vikki Sharpe will join other police officers from across England & Wales who have been nominated for this prestigious award. The nominees will attend Downing Street where they will meet the Prime Minister, Home Secretary and hopefully Larry the Cat!

At 7.30pm the officers will attend the formal awards ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel. The ceremony will be streamed live and can be watched via this link buff.ly/29PzNmA

Today is all about celebrating the very best of policing, and being proud of our achievements. Police officers across the country perform acts of extreme bravery every day, they humbly accept this as part of the job. Those officers rarely receive the recognition they deserve, today we will unashamedly show off!

You can read all about the nominees amazing stories here http://www.polfed.org/events/Bravery/mobile/index.html#p=1

For those of you who use Twitter follow today's activities by using #PoliceBravery I will also be putting updates on my account @Hantsfedchair

I know you will want to join me in congratulating all the nominees and wishing them the best of luck, especially our Vikki!

Stay safe
