Reserve Sergeants representative - Zoe Wakefield
Contact No; 07792 721935
I am the Sergeant's Reserve Seat Rep which is the seat reserved for the minority sex by the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. This has recently been repealed by the Equality Act 2010 but for now, the position on the federation remains. This means that I represent all female sergeants across the force. I have been a fed rep for 11 years and have 22 years police service with Thames Valley and Hampshire. I have worked in a variety of roles and stations. I am currently a Custody Sergeant at Portsmouth Central.
I have 2 children and have previously worked part time and on flexible working arrangements. I can give advice on all matters relating to equality, grievances, maternity/pregnancy, part-time/flexible working, disability, sickness, fitness testing, etc.
I am the Equality Lead for the federation and I am currently working on disability and maternity issues within the force. I was a member of the flexible working panel for OCP. I am on the Force Equality & Inclusion Strategic Group, the Force Fairness & Equality Delivery (Disability) Group and a member of the Inspire Network. I am jointly run the Maternity Support Group.
