I have served at Whitehill, Alton, Farnborough, Aldershot and Yateley as a PC and Sergeant, performing a variety of frontline uniform roles including neighbourhoods, response (area car), event planning and custody.
My first job on being promoted to Inspector in 2009 was Critical Incident Inspector for the Northern Area, working out of Basingstoke. I then moved to the Force Control Room at Netley, before taking up the role of custody Inspector at Portsmouth and Fareham.
I am currently part of the Prevention & Neighbourhood department, stationed at Portsmouth Central Police Station. I manage the three neighbourhood teams that cover Charles Dickens, Nelson and Fratton & Baffins.
On many occasions during my career, I have personally benefited from, and seen colleagues given, great support and advice by the Federation. My wife is a serving Hampshire officer, and with two children to look after, I understand the challenges in achieving a healthy work/life balance.
My experience of the Federation as a "customer" prompted me to apply to become a Federation rep, and I was really pleased to be appointed in May 2017. I am particularly keen to help those with flexible working needs and welfare considerations.
In December 2017 I completed the Conduct & Performance course, which qualifies me to help you with any issue relating to performance, conduct and attendance.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you'd like any support, advice or representation.
